By measure of experience as a Lean Six Sigma practitioner, across a wide range of global industries, Tyrone Butler is likely to be one of the most accomplished professionals in Continuous Process/Performance Improvement you will ever encounter. His vast and diverse experience as business consultant has been developedacross 15+ years in a wide base of industries that extend to the four corners of the world (e.g. Manufacturing, Production, Logistics, Software/IT and other Technical Fields, Healthcare, Agriculture, Education, Food Service, Travel, and other Service Industries across private and public sectors). He started his career as Service Management Center Quality Leader and Lean Six Sigma coordinator for EDS (now an Hewlett Packard company). He supported EDS’ operations in the central United States. He led quality initiatives to provide EDS’ customers IT service management support and delivery of IT offerings with optimal quality and customer satisfaction. In October of 1996, Butler left AT&T and joined Dell Inc. to provide industrial engineering support and reduced ergonomic risk factors while continuously reducing cost and improving customer satisfaction. He personally trained Michael Dell as a LSS Green Belt. He was later trained as a Six Sigma Black Belt and assisted teams with the design and development of two Dell facilities in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, he supported teams that reduced quality defects associated with missing, wrong, and damaged material in shipping by 85 percent. In July 2000, he was certified as a Master Black Belt and began consulting at Six Sigma Qualtec, where he trained Master Black Belts, Black Belts, Green Belts, and Yellow Belts utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology. He has provided Six Sigma training in both transactional and manufacturing environments (nationally and internationally) for a variety of customers, including financial services, manufacturing, and assembly companies. Some of his international clients include household names such as AT&T, CSI, Hewlett Packard, Sony, Hitachi, Bank of America, Fidelity financial services, and Elliot Turbo machinery, Sun Micro Systems, US Air Force (North Carolina Bases), NEC research, Black and Decker, San Francisco Health Plan (SFHP) etc. He has vast exposure to the Middle East and GCC countries where he delivered trainings and projects for clients such as ADNOC Group of Companies (Borouge), Saudi Telecom Company (STC), SABIC, Banque Saudi Fransi, Hamad Medical Corporation, King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, SABB etc. Everyone is taught by someone and Tyrone’s list of mentors are inclusive of the absolute top Thought Leaders. To date, November 2015, Tyrone’s unique qualification as a Lean Six Sigma Certified Executive Master Black Belt (CEMBB) is a level of certification held be fewer than 30 people throughout the entire world. The Executive Master Black Belt certification protocol was designed and taught by Mikel Harry, Ph.D. Dr. Harry® has been widely recognized, in many of today’s notable publications as the Co-Creator and Principal Architect of Six Sigma, as well as the world’s leading authority within this field. He has been a consultant to many of the world’s top CEOs and business executives, such as Jack Welch, former CEO and Chairman of General Electric Corporation and Robert “Bob” Galvin, former CEO and Chairman of Motorola. Tyrone has a developed an expansive legacy through his capacity to enable and inspire students and protégé’s ranging from CEOs and Senior Corporate Executives to process workers on shop floors.
