Patrick is a multi-jurisdictional financial planner and wealth manager, expert trainer, speaker and consultant with over 20 years of experience in a broad range of fields including Wealth Management, Real Estate and Islamic Finance. He is the founder of his own FCA regulated firm in London specializing in holistic wealth management and estate planning for high net worth individuals. He brings a global view to asset allocation which includes alternative assets such as real estate, structured investments and hedge funds. His approach incorporates leading technology to build, monitor and manage investment portfolios and deliver exceptional service to clients. This extends to structuring client assets, where wills, pensions, trusts and offshore structures play an integral role in intergenerational family wealth planning. In the UAE, he has successfully pioneered the opening of an Islamic window at Holborn Assets in Dubai covering the full remit of Islamic financial planning solutions including savings, takaful and investments. This was a challenging project which involved high level negotiations at CEO level to successfully conclude. He spearheaded financial education campaigns aimed at increasing awareness and promoting investment intelligence. He also played a key role in establishing Simply Ethical as a leader in the UK of Islamic wealth management solutions. He is the Founder of the Islamic Financial Education Initiative – IFEi, which aims at making Islamic financial knowledge more accessible to all. A key part of this was developing his own course Islamic Finance for Everyone (IFfE). His international approach to wealth management incorporates global real estate asset allocation. Synthesizing his financial, economic, investment and Islamic finance expertise has given him a holistic perspective on real estate analysis and investment. Running his own FCA regulated business in the UK he has extensive experience of analysis, evaluation and recommendation of real estate funds (regulated and unregulated) and structured real estate investments. He has played an advisory role in the structuring of real estate investments including sharia compliant debt and equity financing. He is founder of IFEi Property Hub which promotes global real estate education and innovative real estate investment solutions. As an instructor he brings his extensive finance and international markets experience to bring learning to life. He promotes a participative style of learning - encouraging discussion and questions allows for more effective learning, retention and application of knowledge. His wide breath of experience is enhanced by a strong academic rigour. In addition to his primary degree in Business and Japanese he holds 12 professional qualifications including advanced qualifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI). These include International Investment and Wealth Management, Investment Portfolio Construction, Risk, Islamic Finance, Taxation and Trusts for which he has received numerous Merit and Distinction Awards. He plays an advisory role to the CISI on reviewing the content of their qualifications. His articles have appeared in leading publications and he is a regular guest lecturer at Universities and Associations.
