Neil Urquhart

Overview Neil Urquhart (pronounced “Kneel Err-curt”) is a veteran trainer, trainer of trainers and workshop designer. He was nominated for UK Trainer of the Year by the Association of Professional Trainers, Consultants and Coaches a few years ago. He is also the author of ‘Day-to-Day Negotiation’, an eBook on negotiating with colleagues and superiors, for all 46,000 staff at the European Commission and European Parliament. Neil has worked at the European School of Administration since its inception in 2008, delivering soft skills programs on analyzing and solving problems, critical thinking and all aspects of presentations. He recently designed programs on storytelling at work, creativity and innovation and resilience. Unusually for a trainer and coach, he combines insights, methods and exercises from his long-term martial arts practice in his workshops. A 4th degree black belt in Aikido (Japanese self-defense), he has also been studying the Kashima Shinryu sword fighting style since 2009 and Systema since 2019. His workshops and seminars are practical, results focused and highly interactive which partly derive from his love of playing board games. In total, he has delivered workshops in 49 countries on 5 continents to more than 50,000 participants.
